Sympathy card

Good evening/morning fellow crafters

It's dead on midnight here and I've just finished working on probably one of the hardest and first cards I've ever had to do of this kind.

My Aunty passed away over a week ago and its still not sunk in but I'm sure it will Wednesday as that's when her funeral is. I've made a card for her daughter and son and family.

Never had to do a sympathy card before so it was emotionally challenging.

It's a 8x8 card and I used Hunkydory cardstock as the base.
I used Heartfelt botanic papers for the matting and layering aswell as some Mirri card and Lynda Chapman's Cream cardstock.

I used Tattered lace Peony wreath to wrap around the sentiment, I painted them blue and green using Watercolour paints, stamped sentiment onto cardstock and placed in the middle.

The other sentiment came with the Peony Wreath die.
The corner die cut is called Fern leave from Tattered lace.

The flowers are from tattered lace dies and Spellbinders.

The pearls are from my crafty stash

I also made a gift box for the card and included a guardian angel broach for the family

I do have a bit of good news.  I won a competition at Tattered lace and won over £200 worth of dies. First competition I've ever won at that amount. Was so chuffed.

I want to welcome and thank new followers for joining me and thank you to all who stop by.

Have a lovely bank holiday weekend

Lots of love

I'm so sorry to hear about your aunt. Sympathy cards are never easy to make, but you've made a beautiful one. Your flowers are lovely, both the watercolored ones and your paper ones.
Thanks for joining us last week for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.

So sorry for your loss. The dies are so lacy and elegant. The color choices are so pretty.
