Sprite tunnel card and quick tutorial

Good evening bloggers

I made a tunnel card today using a free sprite digi called lilac sprite which you can get for free over at Aurora wings challenge blog as they're celebrating an anniversary :
Aurora wings blog - free digi

I've seen these tunnel cards on internet and have always wanted to make one but for the life of me couldn't find tutorial anywhere, I managed to find a template but really couldn't be bothered so found a simpler way on my own lol

I used 2 A4 card stocks.  Scored both at half way point and the one I wanted to use as the outer card I scored gatefold too as well as scoring in the middle .  I folded it outwards at the middle and where gatefold scores were I folded inwards. Simple lol.

I then used sue Wilson's rectangle ornate die as a window and die cut both sides of the "tunnel" .  I got 5 dies in one at a bargain price over at Craftstash  I also got some nova alcohol pens 3 for just over £3 which I used to colour the sprite digi in with.   Isn't this digi just adoreable !

Papers I used are mirrored cardstock from Kanban , first edition 12 x 12 papers which I must say are just stunning papers also papers from polkadoodles paper pad , rest were normal crafty stash

Flowers are made using my normal dies of spellbinders and tattered lace. Gate die is from botanic orchard collection, butterfly tattered lace.

Sprite digi was die cut out using polkadoodles die and distressed with blue chalk dye.

Rest were from my stash.
It can even be folded shut to put in a gift box

Wanted to also say thank you for the kind comments on my last post about my nan.  Warmed my heart knowing others care.

Thanks for stopping by.
Have a lovely rest of the weekend

Lots of love
Sharon

Oh what a wonderful idea! Love how the tunnel card came out. So delicate. The Lilac Sprite is particularly gorgeous--love the die you used to accent her. Brilliant way you "filigreed" that tunnel to. Love your project! TYFS and for particpating in the Sprite Delight V Challenge at Aurora Wings. ~Priss Steelman~ Guest Designer, March 2018

Wow! oh! Wow! Sharon you certainly make some stunning cards. Lots of work and it shows, your project is brilliant.
I find I make better flowers with paper rather than the Flower Foam.
That's just me, I am sure you will make some fabulous flowers, looking forward to seeing what you create.
Have a great day.
