It's christmassssss plus quick tutorial of acetate bow card

Good evening everyone

I hope your weekend went ok?

For the past days I've been working on one of my favourite project's , the acetate bow front card.  I've actually took photos of how I create this card so please be aware this post will be quite photo heavy.

Firstly I got some good quality card stock A4, I used hunkydory from a card kit.
Use a scoreboard to score it like you're making a gatefold card.

Decorate it in paper's you want for the card or you could leave it as it is, it's just easier to decorate before you cut the aperture into the card front.

Choose a die you want to die cut the aperture, it really doesn't matter about size either.
Like in my photo roughly place the die in the centre and place the cut side of the die upwards so it cuts into the flaps and not into the actually base of the card.  Tape it down using low tack tape and then die cut.

Before placing the acetate make sure you decorate the base of the card first and then using red tape place it at each side of inside of the card and place tape underneath flaps too.
I used A4 acetate from Hunkydory and cut about 2 inches of the width of it.  You then just stick one side down inside the card and then the other side. The acetate will automatically bow and form it's own shape then gently stick flaps down onto the acetate and that's it.    You're free to just decorate the card as you please.

The stamp I used is called presents galore and is from sue wilson. I coloured it using spectrum markers red family: DR5, DR1, CR11, CR10 and CR8.  Brown EB4 and blender.    Paper , ribbon and father Christmas images were all from stash that my mom gave me.

The baubles were from a die free from a magazine.

Holly embellishments were from a bag of goodies from my darling mom too.

Dies I used were flower dies from tattered lace , spellbinders and poppy crafts dies from Craftstash

Sorry it's a bit long winded but I know from experience people are more inclined to try projects if they don't see templates as it can be quite overwhelming lol.

I hope you like this Card, I love Christmas so wanted to try get that chrismassy feeling.

Thanks so much for popping by and of you get stuck on anything just let me know, is be happy to help.

Have a lovely evening
Lots of love Sharon
