Good morning once again bloggers!
A start to another day. I can't believe how quickly this month has gone. Ill be putting up my decorations in a few weeks making my house look like Santa's Grotto lol. I know my boys have grown up but I'm a child at heart and always go over the top! I do love Christmas , it's about the giving, time with loved ones and the most special one of all is the true meaning of what Christmas is all about!
Now onto my project today. This is a special project to give to someone special. One to showcase on the mantle piece and given with love.
This was a fiddly one and took a while but I think it was my brain that made it took so long not the actual tutorial lol. I got the tutorial from this site: .
I love easel cards but wanted to try something different so this was a challenge but well worth it at the end.
Its an Easel but with four compartments instead of one. The tutorial was found on this site : Quad Easel Tutorial
The base of the quad easel was created using some blank card stock and the easel compartments were made using the same. I matted and layered the base with patterned paper and silver textured card stock , I then went around the edges of the base with some gorgeous lace and glued some into the centre of the base too.
I then matted and layered each easel compartment with plain brown distressed paper , silver textured embossed card stock and patterned paper used from my paper pad from Kaiser Craft.
Materials used:
Patterned paper for decorating the card stock was a freebie from a "Simply Cards & Papercraft" Magazine. It's called Kaisercraft and has some stunning vintage and distressed paper inside.
Toppers and sentiments were from a Hunkydory card kit bought a few months back.
Embellishments:
Gold mirrored die cut flower buds from Kanban
Heart pearly buckles from eBay
Pink flowers cut down to size also from eBay
Lace used on top of each easel compartment again from my stash
Black feathers from my stash also.
