Good morning my fellow friends, bloggers and visitors!
Firstly I'd like to say that I hope you are well and the week is going well for you so far.
I can't believe we're in the middle of the week already! Soon be time to get my Christmas decorations from the loft. I know for sure I will definitely not be going up the loft to get them! The last time I did that which was a few years ago I ended up getting stuck up there die to my fear of heights lol. My youngest son had to go and knock at a neighbours door for them to come and rescue me! I had just froze and couldn't and wouldn't move. My kind neighbour (My hero) helped me get down with the help of himself and some ladders. Ohhhhh the embarrassment though lol! So yes never again!
My project today is a different version to the easel gift box card. This was made in a completely different way and is a lot smaller , just the right size to fit my stamped image from whimsy stamps onto the front.
The tutorial for this project you can find here: Hidden Drawer Tutorial . There is a hidden draw underneath the card and the card flap is actually attached to the base around the drawer. This would be a great way to give a gift like jewellery to someone who special and to say "thank you" for all they do. This was made for my sister who is my angel in disguise and she never stops giving. She's always been there for me and I owe her so much in kindness , love and time. This is my way of showing my appreciation
Card and box base from hunkydory
Image from Whimsy stamps coloured with Pro-Markers
Sentiment from whimsy Stamps , cut with spellbinders die and inked with Tim Holtz distress ink.
All die cuts created by spellbinder dies
Lace and Ribbon from my stash
Mini flower buds bought from EBay
Pearl ribbon buckle, corner die cuts, and patterned paper all from my stash.
Foliage die cut from Joy Dies
