Showing loved ones you care

Good afternoon fellow bloggers. I hope you are all doing great today? Doing anything exciting? Myself I'm at home due to an illness which has kept me of work since December. That's how I got into crafting to try and fill my days and keep busy.

Today's post is about loved ones. Since I've been absent from work my family have supported me and been my rock especially my darling sister. It's her birthday tomorrow and I wanted to make a card which means a lot to her.

She adores the colour brown so used those colours. I found a gorgeous topper with words that said it all so I used that and worked around it to create this gorgeous card.

I matted some patterned script paper onto gold mirror card and stuck on this gorgeous card blank I had in my stash. I distressed the layers using my distress inks by Tim holtz. Colour was aged photo. I then found a scrap price of vintage paper , distressed it and randomly placed it onto the layers. I cut some off white ribbon from some card and placed at the bottom of the card. I matted the topper onto some brown plain card and placed in the centre. Using flower die cuts which came with the topper onto the layers. I had some gold patterned corner pieces which i placed in each corner. I then used cosmic shimmer bronze glue to dot around the edges. I embellished with glitter glue and glossy accents for dimension.

Hope you like the card. Wish I could do more to show my appreciation for all the support I've had from loved ones but sometimes showing you care and appreciate them is spending time creating a card personally for them means more.
