Gel resist background

Good afternoon!

Hasn't it been just a beautiful day today.  The sun out with the birds singing , I love it.

I just adore lavinia stamps so wanted to have a play and try a new technique.

I created a background using a orange ink pad and brushos on a gel plate then used gel medium over this beautiful flower stencil , once dry it dries clear so the gorgeous colours will come through.

I then used inkinz framboise ink to blend over the gel medium, because it's a gel medium it doesn't take on the ink and the ink will only take on the bits that hasn't got gel medium on

I finally used a white gel pen on the edges of the flower for highlights

The gel medium is shiny too so gives a lovely shine.

I then stamped lavinia stamps onto the background and distressed around the edges.

Such beautiful stamps

Have a lovely evening
