Singing birds - most beautiful sound to hear

Good afternoon fellow friends and bloggers.

Firstly Id like to welcome my new followers and thank you so much for following me. I'd also like to thank everyone for their kind and thoughtful comments on my work which I'm truly thankful for.

What a busy day I had yesterday. I couldn't do any crafting or post on my blog so my apologies for not doing so.

As you most probably know I have 3 cats who I love with all my heart. My eldest is 16 years old and he's my baby. He's been going downhill for a while and I've been worried sick so took him to the vets yesterday. It seems he might be suffering from over active thyroid and if not treated would not survive. They are asking for over £150 for just the blood tests and consultation and that's with half the price knocked off! I'd do anything for my baby's and would never let them suffer and my heart is in bits, I will do everything in my power to find that money so I can get him tested ASAP! He's had a good life but its not his time yet lol. With that treated he could have a few years left in him so I'm determined and that is my goal to get him in ASAP for those blood tests. My washing machine has also broken so having to buy another one somehow lol. So yes a very busy day yesterday trying to sort everything out.

Ok that's my moan over with lol now onto my quick and simple project I made last night. I couldn't sleep so decided to craft instead. I made this pocket tag box card and used some toppers I don't usually use and die cut flowers that was just lying around.

I have so many toppers of beautiful images which I hardly use as I prefer to make my own with digi stamps and stamps and colour them in. Instead of just hoarding them I used them on this unique project. It's simple to do but quite effective and versatile once finished .

The tutorial for this can be found here: Tag in a box Birthday Card

Picture of the Box Card with eveything inside:

Materials used :

Toppers , butterfly's and flowers from a kit I had in my stash again from hunkydory

Patterned paper to decorate pocket were from my stash

X cut border punch used to punch around the edges of tag and pocket

Purple organza flowers were from my stash bought in eBay

  10. Morning Sharon, Have you tried the PDSA for your cat's problem? I'm sure they provide treatment for people who can't afford the private vets fees. There is another one aswell, is it The Blue Cross, I think they provide treatment aswell. Please try these.
Your card and box is absolutely beautiful.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

  11. Hi Sharon,
firstly I am so sorry to hear about your probs. I hope all is resolved soon.
Now your sleepless night has resulted in such a superb creation. I do so love birds especially the ones that chirp lovely songs. I think the birds on you card are beautiful, and that project is fantastic. We have a wonderful bird that sings in the woods at the back of our house, not sure what bird it is but it's a very pretty song. I know it's not a blackbird's song it's different.
Thank you for my lovely present. They will be used shortly.
I hope what Patricia suggests helps with your beloved cat.
    Have a wonderful crafty day.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

  16. Sharon, my heart was touched as you shared about your dear pet. In the last year we lost (due to old age) Bunny who was 13 years old and One-Eyed Buzzy a little 12 year old Shi Tzu. Robin must have spent more than $10K over the last 4 years . Out of your sadness and determination to find the $ for the blook work you have created a very fine piece of art. Thank you so much for sharing it with us.
