Good morning bloggers! What a sunny and bright morning it is here too!
Thank you all so much for all of my comments on my project yesterday. They all get read and appreciated very much! I also hope you are all well and have a great day today.
I'd like to welcome my new follower Caroline , thank you kindly for taking your time in viewing and commenting on my blog.
My card today is and 8 by 8 card which has been scored in half and then scored again in the middle at the other side to create four squares. The bottom two squares I cut from each corner to the middle of the card to create two triangular pieces at the bottom. I then folded these upwards and stuck to the inside of the card to create pockets making sure I only glued the right and bottom sides of each triangle so there is free space to put gift vouchers, tags , notes, in fact anything you want. I finished the inside of the card with peel of borders, butterfly die cuts and flourishes both from joy craft dies and a sentiment.
For the front of the card I covered it with black embossed card. Used some gorgeous teal blue border peel offs on all sides. Used a patterned die cut which was cut from a die for the centre if the card, layered it with a scalloped silver mirror card and then used a flower topper on top of it. I then used the flourish die cuts to peek out of the main focal point of the card. I finished with a silver heart and sentiment from my stash.
Black is a hard colour to use in a card especially as a block colour like this card but I hope I've pulled it off lol.
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges please:
Charisma card challenge-Bling/shiny
Paper play challenges -Sparkle shine or gloss
Paper pretties blog challenge -Flowers
Crafts and me challenge -My sentiments exactly
Tuesday taggers challenge -Layers
I hope your day goes very well and any comments or questions are very welcome!
Many hugs

Hi Sharon,
ReplyDeletewonderful card. Lovely colour combo. I do love doing these pocket cards only I do mine slightly different. Instead of folding I attach a separate triangle piece of card and use the on front and back of my book cards. I find this easier than all the folding.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
Sharon, your roses look fabulous on the front of this fun, thank you, pocket card. So glad to see your entry at the Crafts and Me Stamps' digi team's "My Sentiments Exactly!" challenge. Hugz, ~ Rose
