Good morning fellow bloggers.
Hope you have a lovely day. I'd like to thank everyone who takes the time to comment on my work and also give me advice and tips on blogging as with your help I'm sure I'll be a pro lol. I'm new at this but I'm slowly getting the hang of it, all thanks to you. I truly appreciate you giving your time up for me. Thanks again
This card is another of my favourites. It's a square card, again made by myself from an A4 card blank. I adore these colours especially the leopard print papers.
I matted and layered the patterned paper on to some plain coloured papers and fixed on to the card. I also did the same to a strip with the same colours and glued to the right of the card just to create more definition. Most of the embellishments are used by spellbinder dies and some other dies I have in my stash. I love the layered look with all the die cuts. This gorgeous image is lush but I can't for the life of me remember what it's called or where I got her from ( i have so many stamps and digi stamps ). I coloured her using pro markers and matted the image onto the leopard print patterned paper and finished of with some gems in the corner and one in the centre of the spellbinder die flower.
I do like this card and the colours I used. Very subtle , simple to do yet looks effective.
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Bearly mine challenge - Fall colours
Make it Monday's -Anything goes
Pro markers challenge - CAS
Craft door magazine challenge - Anything goes

Morning Sharon, I have just popped over from Jenny's Blog, I love your card, animal print is one of my favourites, loving the flower, butterfly and foliage, and the image is beautifully coloured, just lovely. Also your jewellery is gorgeous and I absolutely love your Vintage Tag.
ReplyDeleteThe crafting Blogs are so inspirational to the rest of us who love to craft, we can take elements and incorporate them into our own creations, and sometimes they inspire us to use colourways that we wouldn't normally use, just by seeing them used in a certain way. Long may you continue.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
Gorgeous card Sharon, love that colour choice and your image. Thanks for joining us at Bearlymine, good luck with the challenge. hugs Shirleyxxxxx
ReplyDeleteHi Sharon - just popped over from my friend Jenny's blog. I love your card - I used animal print paper quite recently. You can check it out if you want to pop over to my blog. The image you have used is gorgeous and your embellishments - or twiddly bits - as I like to call them are amazing.
ReplyDeleteJust wondering, have you tried making your pics a little larger. When you load them onto your blog post (before you have published) try clicking on the image - when I do it there is a list of sizes etc - small-medium-large-X-large - mine usually come on the blog as medium so I click on the 'large' and you can see the card easier.
Please ignore the above if I am telling you something that you already know! I found this out by accident as I am also quite new to this lark!
Hugs to you Sue Pxxxx
