Fairy dust

Good evening

Not been as active as much lately as I've been working on projects behind the scenes.

I have some awesome news which I will announce once I can show my first samples.  I'm over the moon about it though.

I had some off cuts left from the projects I made & had this beautiful background so decided to use it for my lavinia stamps,  using fairy silhouette, mini castle, slender mushrooms & tree stamps.

I use white embossing powder for the fairy and distress ink for shading with posca white paint pen for highlights.

Have a lovely evening

Tip toe fairy

Evening all

Love this stamp, it's like she's secretly trying to tip toe away ever so quietly lol.

I used brushos background on this greyboard tag but gessoed first to prime it.

Stamps are Spellbound,  Fairy houses, dragon pods & mini star stamps from lavinia.

I highlighted with a posca white paint pen and used clean color watercolour pens to colour stamps in.

Have a lovely evening

Fairy night light

Evening crafters

A quick post just to show this fairy night light bottle I made.

I used white gesso which was tinted to cover it

Then used black versafine ink on a stencil to get the stalks,  stamped lavinia stamps onto rice paper and decoupaged onto the bottle.

I decorated the top with lace painted with black gesso and glued a resin flower to tie of the bottle.

Very effective & pretty

Celebrate you!

Wow its ten to one in the morning here lol, only just finished crafting.

I've managed 3 projects tonight , just couldn't stop lol.

First is this one using Stamps by me stamps from shine bright & sending lots of love sets

The tag and stamped flowers were going to be binned as I made mistakes but didn't want to waste them so did my best to save it.

Tag was sprayed with tattered Angel's glimmer ink spray to cover the mistakes,  then used a stencil with spectrum noir inks and out highlights in using a posca white paint pen.

The flower was a mess but distress junk or anything waterbasdd wouldn't cover it so used posca silver & white paint pens to colour it in which covered it perfectly

I finally stamped the awesome sentiment in white embossing powder and then added ribbon.

Thanks for looking

Take care

Bright & vibrant

Evening crafters

I think my new craft addiction is creating my own backgrounds.  I used to always have trouble finding the right colour toned backgrounds for my Stamps or dies.

Since finding brushos & other pigment powders I've had so much fun creating so many different coloured backgrounds.  I've also found I've started to love bright colours.

The stamps I've used here are from Stamps by me.  Fabulous quality and stamp beautifully too.

I used spectrum noir alcohol pens to colour the stamp and created my own backgrounds using different coloured brushos.

I clear embossed the sentiment and matted and layered them.

Beautiful colours and vibrant.

Spread your wings card tutorial

Good afternoon

I thought I'd do a step by step photo tutorial showing how I created one of my samples for Pearlywinks show on Hochanda.

The cards are samples for Pearlywinks ink sprays , Stamps & stamps designed by cheryl wall.  All launching on Hochanda on Saturday 18th May at 11am & 2pm.

To see the photo tutorial please click the link below which will take you to the Pearlywinks Blog

Pearlywinks Blog - Card tutorial

Below are what I used to make the card

Card stock,  I used 6 x 6 " cardstock from Pearlywinks.  I found i needed about 2 of their cards which are scored in the middle.  I cut them down to make 4 separate pieces.

Embossing powders, you can use any colour you wish.  I used white, gold & clear

Cheryl walls bloom & flight stamp

Pearlywinks sentiments stamps

Your chosen matt & layer cardstock.  I used black satin & gold mirrored cardstock

Embossing ink, versafine black ink, distress ink I used baby pink,  glue, scissors, stamping platform & anything else you may need

I've used 2 different colours on each card here,  pumpkin orange & vintage teal on one & hot pink & pumpkin orange on the other.

Very effective & the inks are so vibrant.   The bloom & flight stamp has to be one of my favourites so far.

Northern lights technique

Good evening!

I've just finished creating this card using the northern lights technique.

I first learnt about it last year on sheenas inkettes Facebook group.  I've done one version before but thought it would be perfect with my lavinia stamps and for entering their challenge which they have on their site.  The theme is 'bright colours'.

If you would like a go yourself at the technique you can click the link below:

Theres many versions you can do but it's very effective.

I used distress oxides & black versafine ink.

Lavinia stamps I used are the dragon pods, star gazing and mini stamps from lavinia.

I used white gel pen for highlights and glitter glue for the wings & stars.

You can enter the #lavinia challenge here:

Live with promise, love with passion

Good afternoon!

I cant remember the last time I used pens to colour in lol.  So decided to do some stamping & colouring in.

I used this beautiful stamp from Stamps by me which was free from create & craft for club members.

The stamp is awesome quality and stamps clear.

I stamped & clear embossed & used clean color watercolour pens & water to colour in.

The background was done using pixie powders, I used drawing gum to mask the stamp then did the background.  The pixie powders have some beautiful different colour tones & shimmers once dry.

The purple background was stamped onto a gel plate with distress ink & printing.  The stamp is from Pearlywinks.   I stamped again , clear embossed the butterfly within the stamp and cut it out and used the pens & glitter glue to colour it , I then cut out more wings to decoupage it.

The sentiment is from a stencil

Beautiful, bright & summer card.  A bit different to my usual faeries lol but I'm getting back into my colouring again.

Hope you have a lovely day

Love
