Transferring stamps onto candles

Good evening fellow crafters

For past few days I've been working on a few projects,  2 of them I'm showing here today & a small tutorial on how to transfer stamps onto candles.

I've been seeing this technique on the internet a lot lately so was intrigued.  I used one of my old candles to practice on first

You will need:

Tissue paper- I used kitchen towel where I can remove the layers
Wax paper- Any kind will do
Stamps- Any stamps will work
Ink - I used versafine black ink
Heat tool

1. Lay tissue paper down but remove layers first so you're left with just one layer

2.Stamp onto the tissue paper firmly to get a good print

3. You can either tear or cut around the image , I used scissors

4. Put the stamped image on the candle where you would like it to be,  wrap wax paper around the image & candle so it keeps it in place , hold it tight at both ends

5. Turn on your heat tool & direct it at the image, learning from many mistakes lol, my tip is to keep the heat tool moving in backwards & forwards motions to prevent marks on the candle itself
You will see when the image has transferred as the image will start to darken underneath the wax paper

6. Remove the wax paper carefully & voila!

How it works is the candle slightly melts enough to absorb the tissue paper & the ink.  Decorate to your hearts content .  Very effective & possibilities are endless

My second project are greyboard tags painted with starlight paints & white gesso, white gel pen, glitter , white embossing paper , gems, ribbon , Hunkydory for the love of stamps pixie set, mdf bits & stamens .

I hope you have a wonderful evening

Love
Sharon xx
