Good evening all
I decided to challenge myself , partly because I had these orange colour family papers from Hunkydory so needed to use some kind of topper to match the papers.
In all the years I've been colouring I've never used the colour orange as a main focal point of my digi or stamp. So decided to try it out. If I'm honest I'm not a fan of orange but just went with it.
I coloured up this beautiful digi from Connie Fong Art and Design called "Braids in her hair" (I think lol).
Used different shades of orange using Nova Markers from Tonic.
Dies I used are Oval Lace and Eleganza from tattered lace , butterflies and flowers from Crescent creations tattered lace and Joanna Sheen lace border.
Gems, pearls, lace, sentiment and flourishes from my stash
I know orange isn't everyone's cup of tea but wanted to try something different .
Have a lovely week and I'll be back soon with another project
Lots of love
Sharon

What a great post and a beautiful project to match! I, too, hardly ever reach for orange except as an accent color, so I really related to your orange feelings! But you nailed it! You made the orange really sing without being too crazy and overly-bold. It is subtle and lovely and your coloring skills are off the charts! This project made me a fan of orange and I admire you for stepping out of your comfort zone for it! Thank you for sharing something so inspiring with us for this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!
ReplyDeleteHi Sharon! I also am not an orange fan but I admire you for stepping out of your comfort zone. Your card has an elegant vintage feel and your soft orange hues gave it a very warm look. I adore all of those lacy embellishments and I'm a big fan of step cards! That little girl image is just darling! Thanks for joining us at Angie's Digital Stamps!
