Where's spring gone?

Good evening fellow bloggers

Well what on earth has happened to spring?  Weather's been awful and winds picking up here right now , having a tantrum throwing stuff everywhere in my garden lol.

I'd like to welcome my new followers. Thank you so much for following me!

I made a spring themed card with beautiful flowers and also a different intake on the acetate bow front card.  I actually saw this version on hochanda but they were using crafters companion dies which I don't have so improvised with Couture dies by die cutting each side of the card and cutting in the middle to remove it to create an aperture.

I then stuck the card onto acetate which is from Hunkydory and made a few centimetres scoreline on each side to attach to a piece of card .  I made the aperture card and acetate a bit bigger than the piece of card so it bows slightly creating the dimension when sticking it to the piece of card.

I then decorated inside (I did this first) by decoupaging some beautiful flowers I had in my stash which is years old.  Matted and layered it onto mirror card and beautiful papers from sweet dixies pads.

I decorated the outside by die cutting some paper flowers from old snippets of paper that I always keep in a little bag.

Dies used spellbinders rose creation and tattered lace dies.
Pearls sentiment and ribbon from my stash.  The brads in the middle of the flowers are from "The works" which cost just a pound .

I then stuck the base of this onto an A4 card scored and folded in the middle, stuck some insert paper from Hunkydory inside and cut a tag and added some ribbon and pearls.

Took me 4 hours to do this lol.  No idea why it takes me this long not sure how long it's meant to take lol but I'm hurting now, it's worth the pain though.

Hope the weather picks up soon

Thanks so much for stopping by.
It really does mean the world to me as np matter how I feel I try to craft as it's a great distraction from life etc.   So seeing your comments and views makes it all worthwhile :).

Worth every second, dear. It's gorgeous! Love that it opens, too. Don't feel bad about how long it takes. I sometimes take ALL DAY and it's nothing as spectacular as this. xxD
