Black and white exploding box

Good evening everyone

I hope you're all well and have enjoyed the gorgeous weather the past few days. I was gutted I missed the thunderstorms last night as I just love to watch them.

Over the weekend I've been doing a colouring class done by Kit and Clowder whos called Alyce. Its amazing all the techniques you can learn and colouring itself is such a stress reliever and takes me away from the pain and troubles.

I must pre warn you this post is photo heavy

I've also been working on My first exploding box which I finished today. I used the Hunkydory Scoreboard to do mine but you can find a simple tutorial here:
Exploding box video tutorial

The cardstock is Hunkydory and papers for decoration are from sweet Dixie 6x6 paper pads and First editions 12x12 paper pad.  I used snippets of paper from past projects for the sides and some of the die cuts.

Dies I used were Spellbinders rose creation die and tattered lace flower die from crescent creations die set.  The flourishes are Tattered lace and border die cuts are from ultimate crafts.

The sentiments , mirrored flowers, mirror silver hearts and some of the lid border are from some old craft stash .

The heart and angel charms are from old stash too.

Really pleased with the outcome of this one.

I hope you like it too.

Have a lovely week and thanks for stopping by.

Lots of love
Sharon

  2. Just realized when I was on the Outlawz that I'd forgotten to check out this beauty! WOW, is right! It's been ages since I've done an exploding box but I've never done one this elaborate. Love the sparkle and shine and those dies are AMAZING! I agree that the coloring classes take your mind off stuff. This is the first day I've been outside in 3 weeks since being sick after our trip. Had LOTS of time to color. xxD
