Recessed window card with handmade background

Good evening all

The snow is finally melting here so I hope some of you are getting back to normal, me, I love the snow and so does my dog lol so I'm gutted it's gone.

I made a card today with a recessed window in the middle, you can find tutorial here:
Recessed window tutorial

I used different measurements to the one in the tutorial as my topper background card was 5 by 5 " square and I used a A4 card blank

I've always wanted to make my own background with my alcohol markers so I got my blue colour pens and played about until I was happy with the outcome.  To make the moon I just used a circle piece of card and covered the background card with it as I coloured.

I wanted a dusky night time sky so was happy with it.  I then had some silhouette stamps of cats from Hunkydory and brickwork so stamped them on background and used tattered lace window die stuck that down and stamped another cat in the window.

I followed the tutorial above using my measurements then decorated the card using Couture dies for sides of the card, crafters companion Diesire border dies for edges inside window, tattered lace flower dies and spellbinders rose creation die.

I used my Mirri card and plain coloured card from my stash and sentiment was from same kit as the stamps.

Pearls and gems from my stash.

Hope you like this card.  One of my favourites so far, probably cause it's cats and night sky

Thanks so much for visiting and any comments you may leave.

Have a good start to the week

Lots of love
