Hidden secrets box

Good evening bloggers

I was really hoping for a nice bit of snow today so I wouldn't feel so guilty in doing nothing but craft lol

Unfortunately not much in my area but supposed to have some Thursday.
I hope you're all coping ok with this cold? It's really affecting me but I pushed through the pain today to make this sweet box .

It's a hidden secrets box and you can find tutorial here:
Made from A4 card and the patterned paper was from a recent gift from my mom, another goody bag full of bits , embellishments and gorgeous papers from Anna Griffin.  I do love her stuff.

It took me at least 6 hours of sitting on floor doing this and I'm in absolute agony but just couldn't stop until I had finished . I'm stubborn like that lol.

I followed the tutorial and decorated using Anna Griffin paper and some embellishments from my mom.

The dies I used are Tattered lace window die and flourishes, botanic collection window die, orchard stamps and dies and spellbinders rose creation die coloured in using Pro markers just roughly.  I also distressed the edge of the papers using burnt burlap distressed ink.

The fairy is a die I bought from a craft shop and the other die on other side is tattered lace die from a old magazine of a lady in the garden

I used gems and pearls and stick on borders for around the edges and around the back are embellishments from Anna Griffin.

The rest are all bits from my crafty stash.

I hope you enjoy this project and I can't thank you enough for visiting and commenting , it means a lot to me as crafting for me is painful but it's a fabulous distraction and I truly enjoy creating projects and cards and seeing the end result.

Have a lovely evening
Lots of love
Sharon

  1. Fabulous project, Sharon, the patterned papers are beautiful.
Not much snow here today either, just a few snow flurries. I think Thursday and Friday we're due to have heavier snow. xx

  5. Saw this on the Outlawz and just had to come see. What a fabulous project! Well worth the effort. Believe it or not, I saw snow on the hills on our walk today and I live in the East Bay of San Francisco. We had rain here in the valley on Monday, but it's stayed cold enough for the snow to remain up there. Brrr...!!! Now I'm going to check out that tutorial. Thanks for the link. xxD

  7. Hi Sharon,
what a gorgeous box and such a super design my that is some lovely piece of work it's so stunningly beautiful.
It must have taken you ages to make.

I make my own boxes from A3 Card I buy from Paper Cutz.
It's 450 GSM board as I hate floppy boxes.
I cut it at ten and ahlf inches square and then score it on my very old box making board from years ago which has one side for the top and one side for the base.
The board costs about £25 for 50 sheets plus postage.
Hope that helps hun yes we are very cold here no more snow so far but it's bitter.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
