DS4J Distressing Challenge. DT Post

Good morning everyone!

I hope you are all well and all ready for my favorite time of year "Christmas!"

I can't apologize enough for not commenting on your blogs regularly.  I'm doing my best but at this time of year especially as I can't go out I'm relying on other ways of getting in presents for family etc.

Anyway today over at DS4J our new challenge is distressing which is so effective on any kind of cards!

Our challenge is hosted by Berni:

I am Berni, a DT member, and I am hosting the challenge "Distressing."
You ask yourself, what is distressing? Whatever the object, the finish is intentionally destroyed or manipulated to look less than perfect, such as with sandpaper. I am big fan of Tim Holtz the master in distressing with his fabulous projects worldwide. I created my card with the Tim Holtz brick

embossing folder and sanded over the embossing, and then colored the image with Tim Holtz Distress
 Markers.

We are so excited to see your fabulous projects. The challenge starts on Tuesday 11 December. We would prefer for you to use DS4J image from the store, but not necessary. You will have an edge for the drawing if you do.

This is the card I made using DS4J image called "Gael" which you can buy here: DS4J Store

To enter our challenge please go here: DS4J Blog

I used DP paper from Flower Faeries Cd from Crafters Companion , teared around the edges and then distressed with ink.

I used different sizes and layered layers upon layers to create this effect.  I matted onto gold mirrored card.

The sentiment, organza ribbon, rose buds and gold peel offs are all from my usual crafty stash.

I hope you all have a fabulous day and hugs to all who are feeling under the weather.

Hugs
Sharon xxx
