Never ending Christmas Card

Good afternoon everyone!

Thank you all so much for your comments yesterday , I appreciate them so much and I've found some lovely friends being here. Your kind words about my cat Thomas are also very much appreciated too. He's still doing ok and I'm still awaiting an appointment for his blood tests.

I hope everyone is ok and I bet your all looking forward to the weekend lol. You are all so talented and many times when I visit your blog I actually say out loud "Wow" lol.

I see crafting as some kind of Therapy and as well as being a fun hobby it gives us all great pleasure in seeing our finished projects. I find it relaxes me and takes my mind of everything. It's very rare that I don't do some kind of crafting every day, the only time I don't crafting is if I have company. On that note I have a friend coming to visit next week for five days . I will do my best to post something during those days but just in case I'm not here then that's the reason why. I might even schedule some posts as I've never done that before so will find out how to do that first lol.

Just to warn you this post has a lot of photos due to the fact the card has many different views of pages upon each fold.

So on to my card today. I've always wanted to make my own never ending card. I've seen them on create and craft and in magazines and I'm fascinated by them. I had a magazine which gave a tutorial on how to make one , magazine is called : Cardmaking & Papercraft. So that's what I did. It was fun to make and interesting how it all worked.

Front of the Card:

Back of the Card:

First Page /first Fold:

Second Fold/ Second Page :

I made this one a Christmas card and once again used some of my stash and scraps that have been sitting there for quite a while now. I'm actually missing colouring in lol. It took a while to decorate this card as there are so many sections hence the never ending card lol. I also found it difficult as because of the structure of the card you can't put any depth onto it with embellishments which are bulky otherwise the card would not fold as it should. So this was a challenge for me as I do like to use bulky embellishments lol.

Materials used:

Pieces of scrap paper from my stash
Hunkydory card stock
Santa toppers from hunkydory card kit
Red flower ribbon from my stash
Gold mirror card from my stash
Red spotty ribbon and gems from my stash
Corner pieces, silver peel offs and pearl buckle embellishments also from my stash
Most materials used on this card was from paper scraps and embellishments that I hardly used.

The other pages to view when you keep folding the card:

Hi Sharon, about years ago I made loads of these never-ending cards for all sorts of occasions. I think, as you say, the problem is not being able to load it with embellishments - and these days our cards are chock full of them. But to see the wonder on somebody's face when they get one is great. I like the vintagey feel to this one. Great work. love from Christine x PS Have fun with your visitor.

Thank you for joining in at Sweet Stampin this week. I'm afraid I can't see any stamping on your project so you won't be eligible for the prize. Please feel free to leave a comment on the SS blog if I'm wrong.

Hello Sharon
Your card is wonderful. Such a clever design and the detailing you have added is fabulous.
I can totally relate to your comment about finding craft to be almost like therapy. It has certainly helped me through some tough times.
I hope you have a good weekend and a nice time with your friend next week

HI Sharon,
such a fabulous card, and so great the way you have put it together. I love the fab red its so vibrant. I made one of these a long, long, time ago, and the amount of work involved is very time consuming. I too said WOW when I saw this project.

Morning Sharon, Wow, oh Wow, what a fantastic card, I have never seen one of these never-ending cards before, so I assume that there are lots of fold-overs going on here. I love the Christmassy feel and colour combos used, I bet this took you ages to complete, but it is fantastic, well done.
