Fairy decoupage
Good afternoon bloggers!
Hope your all having a great day. The sun is shining for once lol.
This morning I made this card using a decoupaged image of this cute flower fairy that I've had sitting around for quite some time now.
I don't think I mentioned that I also enjoy cutting out and layering the images up but just like my coloured images they never get round to being created into a card. I adore this flower fairy image and felt it was too nice to use lol. So today after a long time the darling fairy actually made it onto a card!
This was an A4 blank card scored in half to create an A5 card. I had these gorgeous patterned matching paper that I ripped into different sizes and distressed with inks then layered on different ways onto the card. I matted them onto gold mirrored card before sticking them down.
I cut out a butterfly and placed silicone glue into the middle, stuck it down and raised the wings to create dimension.
The corners were gold corner peel offs.
I finished the card with embellishments, glitter and white satin ribbon.
I'm sure these flower fairies are manufactured by crafters companion but I'm not really sure so don't quote me in that.
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Papertake weekly- Things that make you go Awwwww
Crafts and me challenge - Add a flower
Just magnolia - Anything goes with option of butterfly's or bling
Tuesday taggers - Anything goes
Use it tuesday- Anything goes but use hoarded items. ( My fairy decoupage which has been safely tucked away in my storage for many months due to the fact she was just to cute to use up)
May I just say that I'm finding this blogging very therapeutic and relaxing. Thank you so much for your time. You are all special!
Have a great Tuesday!
