First DT post for "Moving along with the times" Challenge blog

Good morning all

Hope your week has been good

Thank you to all my new followers and time leaving comments

I'm pleased to announce I'm on DT for Moving along with the Times Blog
A new challenge starts today and the theme is below, Mrs duck another DT member chose the theme this challenge:

Its my turn (Mrs. Duck) to choose the theme here at MAWTT and, in time honoured tradition, I am going with a song lyric theme again.

I have already used the first verse of Dana's All Kinds of Everything as a previous theme so this time round, I want you all to use the second verse as your inspiration...............

Seagulls and aeroplanes

Things of the sky

Winds that go howlin'

Breezes that sigh

City sights

Neon lights

Grey skies or blue

All kinds of everything remind me of you

To join in and enter please go here:

Would be lovely to see your entries, I look forward to seeing what you make and visiting your blogs

My interpretation of the theme was grey skies and things of the sky.

I made a acetate bow front card.  Tutorial can be found here:

I used this project so I can use a big space to show background paper of the sky.

I doubled over with the patterned paper on the outside .

It was easy to do.   I scored a A4 gatefold card then die cut an aperture on each fold of the gatefold, decorated inside with gorgeous background paper from ebay.  Cut and decoupaged  the lady from Hunkydory little dresses mini pad and die cut birds from Heartfelt botanic dies and stuck all on the inside

Measured acetate bigger than needed so it would bow when stuck down.  Stuck folds down gently over the acetate and decorated as needed.

The flowers detail at the front of the card was stamped, then used glitter print magic and die cut using Heartfelt botanic collection dies.    The papers from that collection too.

Border on the top from ultimate crafts die magnolia lane collection.

Rest was from my crafty stash.

I enjoyed making this and was really please with the outcome and one of my favourites I've made so far.

The challenge will end on 28th Feb so you've plenty of time to create something for the challenge.

Enjoy and look forward to seeing you there.

Moving along with the times DT

Love Sharon

Hi Sharon - your card is amazing and has so much detail in it. However, you say you used stamps to make the flowers so I am sorry, it does not met the criteria of our challenge - no stamps to be used.

Thanks for thinking of us at Unstampabelles and hope to see you back soon with something that has no stamps used!
